The Matt Christie Institute of Australia (Academy Australasia prior 2015) was founded by Matt P Christie and Michael L Trinidad in 2010 offering a boutique style of education in English test preparation courses and English language courses around the world. The model was based on quality education with no more than 15 students per class (teacher/ student ratio of 1:15) with real skills being taught in writing, reading, listening, speaking and is still used to this day.
Time has changed, but our vision remains the same: The Matt Christie Institute of Australia is for those students who strive for the best results in everything they do. We will help students reach individual learning goals using the latest teaching techniques, which in return will have students well on the way to a bright future.
2012: Opened the first OET Training School in the Philippines in partnership with the Propeller Club of Manila. Developed and delivered a general English course for photographers seeking employment on a cruise ship and developed and delivered a hospitality English course for up and coming chefs seeking employment in the cruise ship industry. By the end of 2012 sub training locations and partnerships were set up in India, Singapore and Noumea.
